From physics student to AI researcher at Osaka University.
AI researcher in a machine learning lab at Osaka University. He started the AI+X program in April 2025 as a physics student with no computer-science background.

From physics into applied AI, and a winter in Boston, Cambridge, where he met researchers who had made the same switch from non-CS backgrounds.
“Since we are transitioning from a non-CS background to something more computational, their insight for us was really crucial.”
“The project lead mentioned that the way we framed the problem was very holistic, and that we managed to cover most bases that we were never actually taught in class.”
“It turned out that most of them were also from non-CS backgrounds and also transitioned into the field.”
Two projects on campus, and a talk at the AI+X Meetup in Kendall Square in front of nearly 200 people.
